A worked example, so you can see what you get
A 2,413 square foot two-storey house in St. George, Utah, from a 13-sheet plan set. Each room is drawn in plan with its walls weighted by heat loss. Heavy strokes are where the heat goes.
What happens
- You pay and upload. One plan set as PDF. Floor plans, elevations, and sections give the best result. A site address sets the climate.
- Loadcalc reads the plans and shows you what it read. Every room, window, and wall assembly, each with the sheet it came from. Anything the plans do not say gets a question with a recommended answer. You correct what is wrong and confirm.
- The loads are calculated. Heating and cooling for every room and the house, with the assumptions listed.
- You explore room by room. See where each room's heat goes. Swap window products and watch the numbers change.
- Your files arrive. The report, the schedules, the 3D model, and a link to share. A reviewer checks the job and you get an email when it is marked reviewed.

What the result is, and is not
The report follows the ACCA Manual J 8th edition procedure. Design weather is derived from published station data. The software is not ACCA-approved. It is a first-pass estimate for review by a qualified designer, and it says so on every page. It is not a stamped engineering document and not equipment selection.
